How the beta handles your account, research and files.
Updated October 22, 2026
What the app stores
Your workspace stores your research questions, context, uploaded sources, searches, manuscripts, review decisions, writing preferences and task history. Hosted sign-in uses your email address and account identifier to associate projects with your account. If you prepare a submission, the project also stores the author details, declarations and files you provide.
How your information is used
This information is used to run the research tasks you request, save and restore your work, generate exports and enforce review and approval steps. Projects are scoped to their owner. Operational tools allow the service operator to inspect task status, usage and errors.
Research queries are sent to scholarly search services. When you run an AI task, the relevant question, source excerpts, draft text or submission context is sent through OpenRouter to the configured model provider. Private workspace access does not mean that AI processing stays on your device.
NVIDIA public-research mode
When NVIDIA public-research mode is enabled, use only public, non-confidential content without personal information. NVIDIA's free endpoint logs submitted content for security and product improvement. New projects start in public-research mode without a separate confirmation checkbox. Older projects that were not created in this mode require content review before AI processing. These restrictions cover questions, source uploads, drafts, and revision instructions. The app does not automatically detect or redact private information.
Journal-portal decisions and receipt checks cannot use this endpoint. Author forms, submission answers, and account details are not sent through those AI tasks. You can export your paper and submit directly to a journal. Editing and exports remain available without public-content confirmation. Stop any active task before withdrawing confirmation in the project notice. Review the NVIDIA endpoint terms before using it.
Service providers
The hosted configuration uses Supabase for sign-in and private file storage, and a configured database for project records. AI tasks use OpenRouter. Optional search, email and browser services receive the information needed for the features they provide when configured. Browser preparation may process journal forms, author details and submission files.
Provider practices are described in the OpenRouter privacy policy and Supabase privacy policy. Retention and processing arrangements can differ by provider and deployment.
Cookies and browser storage
Hosted authentication uses session cookies. The topic form uses browser session storage to restore your research question through sign-in and refresh. Sources can be uploaded inside an existing project. The website also requests its fonts from Google Fonts.
Your controls
You can edit your saved work and download manuscripts and research records. Project deletion is available in the project’s Activity section and removes its saved project and task records and requests removal of its stored files. Deletion does not remove copies you exported or sent to external services. Provider backups and logs may follow separate retention arrangements.
For account deletion, access or correction requests that the workspace does not support directly, use Contact / Support.
